Main Models Photos
This is a really strong picture and i think it is because of the direct adress that the model is giving. I like how the light is coming from underneath her and how it highlights the main features of her- the face and the white top.

I really like this picture because it is a very natural picture of my model laughing. I think it would look nice in my double page spread but i was hoping to have a wide or long shot. I like the lighting of this shot as well but if i placed it in my magazine i would have to lighten it to make it look like a proper studio shoot.
I like this picture as it is a very strong picture with the direct adress and it shows my models body. I like the relaxed position that my model is in and the way she looks naturally standing. This is a possibility of a picture to use in my double page spread.

The second photoshoot was with a female model and it was taken down at the park so that it could attract colours from the sky and the grass etc. I wanted it to seem like a nature shot because an indie girl is closely related to a hippy so I wanted to show this through my pictures.
Here are my favourite pictures that i consider using.
Picture 1
I really liked this picture as it comes off as a very strong picture. I think the setting with the tree and then the background help to create a layered picture with gives off a very nature felt effect. I also like the direct attention towards the camera. The costume of my model also adds to the style that the artist would be. I think as this is a strong picture i will use this as the main image for this artist.

I like this picture because of the strong blue colour coming behind it and the delicate feel it has to it. It is a bright photo but i don't think it is appropiate for a music magazine especially not to place in the contents page.

For two of my images I wanted to take outside pictures as it shows other types of shots, setting and gives a different atmosphere to the magazine rather than it all being studio shoots.
My first pictures were in black and white, with a male model, standing up against a brick wall with a guitar. These are my favourite three pictures.
Picture 1
This is one of my favourite pictures because I really like the mid shot as you can see the relationship between him and his guitar- which would be shown with an artist. I also like the smile on the model's face as it gives a more close feel between the audience and the model (artist).
Picture 2
This is another favourite of mine because again the relationship between the artist and the guitar is clearly shown. The model looks relaxed and the long shot helps show this- especially with the way the model is stood with one leg up against the wall.

This is the final picture I like as it is a mid shot just like picture 1 but with the straight face and the eye's focused on the guitar it becomes a really strong shot. This is the picture I intend to use for my final piece.

Photoshoot Plans
For my main image i am going to have my female model in a studio so that i can use effective and bright lighting. I am going to use a SLR camera so that it looks professional. I will also use a tri-pod for the SLR camera to get good still shots. The white background will be used. The front cover picture will be mid shot of my model as most magazines use this shot or a close up as again it is a common one used.
The second photoshoot will be for my contents page and i am going to take one of the images outside in bright natural light. I hope to get different effects through each of my pictures. I am hoping for a sunny day so that i can catch some well lighted images and I decided about taking my these outside so that it shows a differentation of pictures in the magazine.
The third photshoot for the contents page pictures again is going to be a male model with a guitar so that it links to the music magazine and he looks like an artist. I want to take him in front of a brick wall and then edit the picture into black and white as i think these pictures look really effective. I want mid shots of this artist so that different shots are used in the magazine and so i can highlight the relationship between him and the guitar.
